Job Description


You’ll be the person who installs, troubleshoots, and maintains critical safety systems, mainly gas detection systems, in large industrial facilities. You’ll be working hands-on with wiring, connecting equipment, and making sure everything works correctly. You will need to understand how various electrical and computer systems work together to ensure the safety systems are functioning properly.
Your Main Tasks:
  • Wiring and troubleshooting: You’ll work with wires, connectors, and electrical systems to fix or improve safety equipment.
  • Working independently: You'll often be on your own to solve problems, but you’ll have team support when needed.
  • Using technology tools: You’ll use software like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) to document your work and communicate with your team. You’ll also use AutoCAD for technical drawings.
  • On-site work: You’ll be working directly at the customer’s facility in Santa Clara, performing tasks such as installing or testing safety equipment.
  • Hands-on testing and troubleshooting: You'll use tools like multi-meters to check electrical systems and fix any issues that come up.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: You need a degree in a related field like electronics or IT (a two-year associate degree would be fine).
  • Experience: You need at least 2 years of experience working with industrial systems (machines and safety systems in factories).
  • Technical skills: You should be familiar with things like networking (how computers and devices communicate), wiring systems, and reading technical diagrams.
  • Soft skills: You need to be able to work independently and be comfortable with basic office software like Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Nice to Have (Optional Skills):
  • If you have experience with certain automation software (like Rockwell or Ignition), that’s a plus.
  • Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (like Modbus) or test equipment (like digital analyzers) is also helpful.
Other Important Info:
  • Location: You’ll be working on-site in Santa Clara, CA, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours.
