Job Description

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to handle field tasks related to new and existing industrial equipment. This includes startup and commissioning, inspection, servicing, repair, troubleshooting, and optimization. The role requires significant travel and offers the opportunity to work in diverse locations and conditions. The technician will also provide customer training, phone support, and assist in manufacturing when not in the field.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, professional, and skilled at problem-solving with strong technical and communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate travel to and from customer locations.
  • Perform startup, calibration, and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Train end users on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot, service, repair, or retrofit equipment and controls.
  • Handle electrical/instrumentation troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Complete service documentation and reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Provide phone support for customer issues as needed.
  • Support manufacturing operations during non-field periods.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in industrial machinery service.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to read and interpret technical specifications, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, including Allen Bradley, Siemens, and GE systems.
  • Physical ability to perform the job, including working in various climates.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with municipal/industrial wastewater treatment equipment or textile machinery.
Additional Details
  • Travel: 75-80% travel (domestic and international); all travel expenses are covered and reimbursed weekly.
  • Background Check: Required (7 years).
  • Drug Screen: 10-panel test required.
  • Overtime: Paid overtime is expected.
  • Expense Handling: Travel costs covered via expense reporting, with company support for flight scheduling and coordination.

Work Schedule: Flexible as required for field operations
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $30-$35/hour (DOE) with overtime opportunities ($62,400-$72,800 annually)
Travel: 75-80% domestically and internationally (including the US, Canada, Mexico, and Bahamas)
Work Attire: Casual
