Job Description

Selectek is looking for a skilled Field Service Electrical Technician/Engineer to install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial control panels and electrical systems at customer sites. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with control panels, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial power systems. This role requires frequent travel to client locations to provide technical support and ensure equipment is operating efficiently. The candidate will be involved in machine designs for control systems and commissioning the equipment in the field.

Required:

7+ years of electrical industrial control panel equipment design and commissioning.
3+ years of Allen Bradley PLC & HMI programming (5 years highly preferred)
AC Drive Experience
EtherNet Network experience
AutoCAD experience to assist with drawing modifications
Strong Communication skills
Open to at least 50% travel

Preferred:

5+ years of SIEMENS Tia portal
UL508 & NFPA 79 Knowledge
BSEE or BSEET

Job order details:
The tech will work with the team from the project’s start point. Once a project comes in, they will work with the engineers to help do the 2D AutoCAD drawings. Basic changes and drafting. No design work. Once the drawings are done, they will work to develop BOMs. Then, they will start to write the programming for the panels. As the panels come from the shop, they will test them at their facility before they are shipped out.

Once shipped out, they will offer phone support to the electrical team in the field installing the equipment. Once the equipment is installed, they will travel for the commissioning of the equipment.

Pay range: $80,000 - $95,000 (could be higher depending on experience and education)
Location of job: Alpharetta, GA 30004
Hours and shift: Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM
Work from home/remote: No
Overtime expected: As needed for the project
Travel: It can be 50%. Mostly domestic. Some overseas, but never somewhere “dangerous”. Generally, you go out for a week at a time and are back on the weekend. Occasionally it can be two weeks.
