Job Description

Our client in the telecommunications industry is looking to add a Field OSP Inspector to their organization.
 Field OSP Inspector will manager and coordinate all in field activities.
This role will consist of heavy travel within the Las Vegas, NV and Phoenix, AZ markets.

Responsibilities:
 
  • This person would be responsible for all fielding projects. This would include the foundational trackers for each project, based on the project needs and working with management, subcontractors, vendors, and clients on a regular basis.
  • Must coordinate aerial fielding activities, aerial data collection, underground data collection, address validation, cabinet power walks, in building and HOA walk
  • Must have working knowledge of aerial data collection software such as Katapult or Ike, ESRI/GIS software for underground and address collection.
  • Must understand aerial construction practices in accordance with NESC/GEO95 Guidelines
  • Manage project execution including scope, schedule, cost, quality, communication and stakeholders
  • Coordinate internal resources and external/third parties/vendors for the efficient and successful execution of projects
  • Manage stakeholder communications, including interaction with clients, contractors, vendors and jurisdictional authorities
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget

Requirements:
 
  • 3 plus years or more in OSP Telecom fielding experience (both Arieal and underground)
  • Aerial experience (NESC/GEO95 Safety and Installation knowledge)
    • Make Ready Engineering Experience
    • Aerial data collection experience (Katapult, Ike or similar)
    • Anchor, guy, strand installation or design experience
    • Strand map, KMZ, KML experience or similar
    • Basic construction knowledge (telco, fiber, power, anchor, grounding, bonding and similar)
  • Underground experience
    • Basic construction knowledge (vault, bore, trench, telco, fiber, power, grounding, bonding and similar)
    • Underground utility experience (water, power, telco, gas and similar)
    • Underground data collection experience (base mapping utilities)
    • Experience in reading prints (PDF, Bluebeam or similar)
    • Experience in collection systems (Katapult, Esri, GIS or similar)
  • In Building experience
    • Basic construction knowledge (d-mark location, telco, fiber, power routing and similar)
    • Experience in in-building routing of communications systems
    • Experience in reading blueprints (PDF, Bluebeam or similar)
    • Experience in collection systems (Katapult, Esri, GIS or similar to draw out in building routing)
    • Experience in building safety regulations ( basic fire code, electrical code and similar)


Pay Rate: $30.00-$45.00
Term: 6 Months Temp to Direct
