Position Summary:
The Field Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing top-tier support to our customers by installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment and systems related to conveyors and sorters. This role requires strong electrical and mechanical technical skills, excellent customer service, and effective communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving and a dedication to ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide best-in-class support to customers by troubleshooting and resolving electro-mechanical faults and failures in conveyor and sorter systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance services to ensure optimal performance of equipment and systems.
  • Participate in site-related meetings with customers and internal Field Service Management as needed.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls and provide timely repairs.
  • Achieve key performance indicators (KPI) related to efficiency and quality of repairs.
  • Maintain clear communication with on-site management, keeping them informed of repair and maintenance progress and addressing concerns professionally.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and electrical circuit diagrams accurately.
  • Follow setup instructions, assembly drawings, and checklists to ensure proper installation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Complete and submit service reports to the Field Service Manager after each job.
  • Regularly meet with the Field Service Manager to discuss activities, progress, and any issues.
  • Accurately log all spare parts usage and coordinate with the customer and parts sales team.
  • Maintain and care for all tools and equipment, ensuring they are in presentable and usable condition at all times.
  • Submit accurate timesheets and documentation weekly to the Field Service Manager for approval.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing 50-100 pounds.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 6+ years of experience installing and troubleshooting conveyor and sorting equipment in manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret assembly drawings.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with both internal and external team members.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Passport or ability to obtain a passport.
