Job Description

An Estimator to be a member of the preconstruction / estimating team you’ll be responsible for independently preparing sections of schematic, design development and construction document estimates. You’ll evaluate subcontractor bids, scopes of work, prepare quantity surveys, review project plans and specifications for all Construction Specific Institute (CSI) categories of work.

Required:
  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent work experience with 5 or more years of preconstruction and/or operations experience on commercial projects or 5 or more years of progressive equivalent work experience in a relate field
  • Demonstrated knowledge civil/site construction, foundation and structural systems, & structural wall systems
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Suites. Preferred familiarity with On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, bid management, online plan rooms and database applications
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform quantity takeoffs using organizational format, detail, and coding for CSI division systems for all levels of project documents which includes schematic, design development and construction documents
  • Provides clear and concise clarifications to senior estimators and preconstruction managers on ongoing projects
  • Attends project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as required
  • Develops knowledge in building designs, systems and construction materials while implementing cost savings when appropriate
  • Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, and suppliers. Actively participates in industry, client, and community relations to enhance organizational image
Pay Range: $75k/yr. - $95k/yr.
