Job Description
We have an immediate need for an Engineering Manager in the Kansas City, KS area.
The Engineering Manager will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes to the engineering team as well as the cross functional departments. Utilize expertise to solve problems, develop, communicate, and execute objectives to ensure project goals are achieved. Assigns engineering projects, engineering related production problems related to manufacturing, design, quality and material engineering. Develops innovative solutions to unusually complex and diverse issues while keeping the project objectives and timelines firmly in the forefront.
 Position Responsibilities:
Salary range is $125-1$40K. Total compensation will also include quarterly bonuses, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, disability and life insurance, paid time off, 401k with match is included as well.

 Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinates collaboration processes between multiple functional areas to achieve business results.
- Provides leadership on assigned projects to ensure financial and contractual execution through established company procedure.
- Ensures delivery dates are met.
- Analyzes engineering specifications and drawings.
- Leads engineering priorities for manufacturing issues while ensuring schedule parity.
- Ensures engineering schedule is clearly and concisely communicated.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress and identifies potential production problems.
- Ensures rapid disposition of engineering holds.
- Manages consultations on open engineering issues affecting manufacturing.
- Collaborates with scheduling on any open engineering issues that may affect production.
- Leads engineering team including coaching and technical direction to meet project directives.
- Support project proposal development including scope definition, configuration, implementation, tracking and control of projects.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- All other duties as required.

 Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related scientific field.
- Ten (10) years’ experience in aircraft refueler or related engineering design field.
- Must have previous supervisory experience with strong leadership skills.
- Demonstrated – analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional work ethic - must be a self-starter and willing to do what it takes to complete the task.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical engineering
- Knowledge of current engineering methodologies including 3D design
- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
- Ability to interact with various departments and customers.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to coordinate several tasks concurrently.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency
- Licensed engineer is preferred.
