Job Description

We have an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer in the Jacksonville, FL area. 

This is starting as an estimated 1 year, W-2 Contract role, including available per diem, paid-hotel and mileage reimbursement for non-local candidates.

You are expected to be available for a minimum of 40 hours per week and be able to work fairly independently.

Job description:

• Perform sketches or mark-up existing drawings as required to communicate design intent.
•    Perform field work inspecting plant conditions, verifying existing plant conditions, Routing tray, conduit or cable layout/ new equipment for most efficient use of space and resources
•    Preliminary design for installation motors, instruments and controls
•   Coordinate with other disciplines as required to produce projects with the lowest total installed cost possible
•  Check design work for accuracy and ensure compliance with project requirements
•   Electrical room layouts
•   Electrical  equipment specifications
•  Industrial cable sizing, voltage drop calculations and general cable list development

Required:
  • Engineering Degree
  • Motor Controls
  • CAD Proficiency
  • Experience with 480V and 2300V/4160V single lines, starter elementaries and 480V VFDs
  • Basic breaker coordination
  • Electrical room layouts
  • Electrical  equipment specifications
  • Industrial cable sizing, voltage drop calculations and general cable list development
Preferred:
  • Instrument & I/O list development
  • Instrument specifications
  • Instrument loop sheet development
  • PLC & DCS connection diagram development
  • Light I/O panel design experience
