Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer (PE) with a strong background in HVAC system design for commercial and/or multifamily residential projects. This role combines technical leadership, client interaction, and mentorship responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be capable of owning projects from concept through construction, while leading a small team of junior engineers and designers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of HVAC systems for commercial and multifamily residential projects
  • Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing (e.g., chillers, boilers, VRF, rooftop units, etc.)
  • Develop and review construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and energy efficiency requirements
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for:
    • Code officials and permitting authorities
    • Architects and design teams
    • Building owners and stakeholders
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers, providing technical oversight and quality control
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and coordination across disciplines
  • Conduct site visits and field evaluations; travel as needed to support projects
  • Support construction administration, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and issue resolution
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • PE
  • 10 plus years of HVAC design experience with a strong background with commercial or multi family projects.
  • Revit Knowledge
  • Ability to mentor junior staff
