Senior Transportation Engineer – Roadway & Roundabout Design (PE Required)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid Schedule)
Salary: ~ +/- $130,000/year, Negotiable DOE, + sign-on + yearly bonus

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer with extensive experience designing roadways and roundabouts using MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer. This role offers flexibility between design-only or design plus project management responsibilities, based on your preference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Senior Project Engineer on roadway, sidewalk, shoulder, and drainage projects.

  • Provide design oversight, review, and mentoring for junior engineers.

  • Lead plan preparation, cost estimates, report writing, and client coordination.

  • Ensure compliance with Georgia DOT standards and specifications, as well as local municipality requirements.

  • Collaborate with agencies, clients, and team members to successfully execute projects.

What You Bring

  • PE license required (Georgia preferred).

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.

  • 15+ years of transportation/roadway design experience, including major and minor roadways and roundabouts.

  • Proficiency with MicroStation V8i/InRoads and OpenRoads Designer; AutoCAD or other CAD platforms a plus.

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, collaboration, and communication skills.

  • Open to H1B sponsorship

Work Schedule

  • Hybrid: approximately 2 days remote, 3 days in office (schedule may vary).

  • Team-based presence in office to ensure collaboration and project support.

  • Competitive base salary (ideally up to ~$130k, flexible to $140k+ depending on experience)
