Structural Engineer – Wireless Telecommunications (REMOTE)

Position Overview
We're looking for a Structural Engineer with telecom experience to lead the design and structural analysis of communication structures supporting wireless telecommunications, including towers, rooftops, foundations, and buildings. You'll be key in developing custom solutions for telecommunications equipment, such as elevated steel platforms and antenna mounting frames. This role offers remote flexibility, providing you autonomy while keeping connected with a team dedicated to creating robust communication infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct design and structural analysis for new and existing telecommunications sites, including collocations on towers, water tanks, rooftops, and raw land sites
  • Use software tools like RISA, TnxTower, OCALC, and ENERCAL for tower and rooftop analysis and to refine designs to meet local regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure accurate project planning and execution
  • Perform occasional site visits to document and assess field conditions for projects

Requirements
  • Education: BS or MS in Civil or Structural Engineering (EIT Certificate preferred)
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant structural or telecom experience
  • Software Proficiency: Knowledge of RISA, TnxTower, OCALC, ENERCAL, and AutoCAD; skilled in Microsoft Office
  • Codes & Standards: Familiarity with ASD, LRFD, TIA-F, and TIA-G codes

Additional Details
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (~ $38.46/hr | $80k annually), with flexibility to work outside standard hours (e.g., nights or weekends) if deadlines are met
  • Career Opportunity: Long-term contract (6+ months, W2) with potential for full-time hire
  • Work Environment: 100% remote
  • Location: U.S.-based, EST hours preferred
