Job Description

Selectek has an immediate need for an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Designer in the Mobile, AL area. This position will start as work from home with the ability to report to a local office in the Mobile or Dothan, AL area, as needed.

Job description:
  • Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Design for Industrial Projects
  • Construction support
  • Checkout/startup support
  • Troubleshooting
  • Cable schedules
  • Instrument datasheets and Indexes
  • Contribute on projects from the preliminary stage through startup
  • Work closely with clients
  • Lead, mentor and work with junior engineers, designers and draftsmen
Required:
  • AutoCAD Proficiency
  • 5+ years of experience doing Electrical Process & Instrumentation Diagrams for industrial projects
  • Experience with loop sheets, wiring diagrams, flow meters, controls symbols
     
Preferred:
  • Pulp & Paper Industry experience

Job order details:
Will be working on industrial design projects, mainly pulp & paper industry projects. Person should understand how to walk in a Motor Controls Center room and understand how much Input/Output is available in the control panels.

Sponsorship: No
Pay range: $35/hour - $56/hour 
Term of assignment: 6 months contract to direct OR direct hire
Pay method when direct: Salary $85,000-$116,500 + Straight time hourly for any hours worked over 40.

Location of job: Mobile, AL OR Dothan, AL
Hours and shift: Monday - Friday (7AM-3:30PM)

Work from home: YES 100% Until they open an actual office in Mobile, which then will likely be Hybrid.
Working remote: NO - Needs to be local to Mobile OR Dothan
Overtime expected: Yes
Travel: Occasional day trips to a job site.
Work attire: Business Casual (once in the office)
