Job Description

Electrical Project Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to support the technical, logistical, and administrative aspects of electrical construction projects. This role involves working closely with project managers, field crews, and vendors to ensure the timely completion of coordination, design, electrical installations, and system integrations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical engineering field and commercial construction, ideally working with an electrical contracting firm.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and coordinating electrical construction projects from design through completion.
  • Review and interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Coordinate and produce installation details, such as shop drawings, to aid installation.
  • Manage procurement planning, tracking materials and equipment for timely job site delivery.
  • Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure smooth execution.
  • Conduct job site walkthroughs to monitor progress and quality.
  • Address technical challenges and provide solutions for electrical installation issues.
  • Organize, prepare, and maintain project documentation, including drawings, RFIs, submittals, and closeout documents.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of post-graduation experience in electrical construction project engineering.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Bluebeam and Procore.
  • Background in electrical contracting firms handling commercial construction projects.
Additional Information:
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, core hours 9 AM - 4 PM (flexible start between 7-9 AM).
  • Work Location: On-site in Smyrna, GA (No remote work).
  • Travel: None.
  • Work Attire: Business Casual.
  • Overtime: As needed.

Location: Smyrna, GA
Term: 6-Month Temp-to-Direct (Potential for Direct Placement)
Pay Range: $31.25 - $36.00 per hour (Potential for higher based on experience)
