Job Description

This Electrical Engineer position focuses on Power Studies Engineering, with an emphasis on hands-on experience in SKM Power Tools. Primary responsibilities include:
  • Short Circuit Studies
  • Coordination Studies
  • Arc Flash Risk Assessments

The position also involves working with medium voltage relays, low voltage breakers, and administrative engineering tasks using SKM Power Tools and Smart Sheets. This is a great opportunity for an entry-level engineer to develop specialized skills and grow within the industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical power system studies using SKM Power Tools.
  • Conduct arc flash risk assessments and coordination studies.
  • Utilize Smart Sheets for administrative tasks related to engineering.
  • Provide reliable and detail-oriented support for ongoing projects.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: BSEE or BSEET degree.
  • Experience: Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. December 2024 graduates are highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with SKM Power Tools for coordination studies and arc flash risk assessments.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Additional Details
  • Work Environment: In-office; no remote or work-from-home options currently available.
  • Travel: None.
  • Background Check: Required (felonies may not automatically disqualify candidates).
  • Drug Screen: 5-panel drug test required.
  • Work Attire: Business casual.
Benefits (Upon Direct Hire)
  • Vacation: 3 weeks of vacation plus holidays.
  • Potential Salary Increase: Based on performance during the contract period.
Location: Smyrna, GA (Atlanta area, 30339)
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday (9-hour days) and Friday (4-hour day)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct (6-month term, transition to direct hire based on performance)
Pay Rate: $24.00-$25.00 per hour (contract)
