Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Selectek is currently partnering with a small but expanding architectural firm in Rome, GA, that is building a new Engineering Division. They are actively seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with a background in power and lighting design to join their growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the engineering arm of the firm and contribute to a wide variety of impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design electrical systems including power distribution and lighting for commercial and institutional buildings
  • Collaborate with architects and engineering staff on integrated project development
  • Produce construction drawings using Revit
  • Work on projects including pediatric clinics, veterinary hospitals, multifamily housing, and government facilities
  • Ensure code compliance and maintain quality standards across all design phases
  • Participate in meetings and coordinate with stakeholders and project teams
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical power and lighting design
  • Proficiency in Revit drafting software
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse project teams
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Experience with projects in medical, animal health, hospitality, government, or commercial sectors
Additional Information:
  • This firm is based in Rome, GA, but is open to candidates from surrounding markets such as Cartersville, due to the niche nature of the role
  • They are flexible on years of experience and open to younger candidates with the right skill set and ambition
  • This is an exciting opportunity to help launch and shape a new engineering function within a supportive, architecture-driven environment
Pay Rate: $85,000 - $95,000
Term: 6 months ttp Open to Direct Hire
