Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team, responsible for the design, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automated material handling systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, PLC, and HMI programming, and a proven track record in the field. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline (Preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a relevant field.
- Experience in the design of material handling and conveying equipment (Preferred).
- Programming, design, or integration experience with Robotic or SCADA equipment will be considered.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for creating electrical drawings.
- Experience with PLC/HMI programming software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
Job Responsibilities:
Electrical Drawings:
- Create and maintain electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Generate and update bills of material on engineering drawings.
- Assign drawing numbers and descriptions following company standards.
- Read, interpret, and apply company and national safety standards.
- Effectively communicate requirements to fabrication personnel and electricians.
Electrical Design and Engineering:
- Design and develop electrical control systems for in-house material handling equipment.
- Program and commission PLC and HMI-based hardware and software-controlled material handling equipment.
- Prepare electrical scopes of work and evaluate subcontractor quotes.
- Identify and select components and materials for equipment.
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing techniques to design readily manufacturable parts and systems.
- Research and analyze customer design requirements and specifications.
- Contribute to design standards and support design reuse.
- Travel to customer facilities for installation and commissioning of material handling systems.
- Investigate equipment failures, diagnose root causes, and make repair recommendations.
Pay Range: $24/hr. - $48/hr.
