Position Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a specialized electrical engineering firm focused on arc flash risk assessment and coordination studies. This entry-level role provides an opportunity to work with SKM Power Tools to perform short circuit studies, coordination studies, and arc flash risk assessments. The position involves administrative engineering tasks, with growth potential to take on more complex engineering responsibilities as the firm continues to expand.

This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are eager to learn, detail-oriented, and dependable.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform short circuit studies, coordination studies, and arc flash risk assessments using SKM Power Tools.
  • Work on medium voltage relays, low voltage breakers, and coordination studies.
  • Assist with engineering administrative tasks, including data entry and report preparation, using tools like Smart Sheets.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
  • Support ongoing projects and contribute to the success of the engineering team.
Qualifications
Required:
  • BSEE or BSEET degree.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Dependable and professional with excellent time management.

Preferred:
  • Experience using SKM Power Tools for coordination studies and arc flash risk assessments.
  • Interest in a mechatronics role or related field.
  • Recent graduates (December 2024 preferred) are encouraged to apply.
Additional Information
  • Work Environment: Onsite; remote work is not an option (potential flexibility after direct hire).
  • Benefits: 3 weeks of vacation and holidays offered after direct hire.
  • Growth Potential: The role will start with administrative engineering tasks, with opportunities to take on more advanced engineering responsibilities as the company grows.
Location: Smyrna, GA (Atlanta area, 30339)
Schedule: Monday-Thursday (9-hour days), Friday (4-hour day)
Term: 6-month temp-to-direct (TTD) assignment
Pay Rate: $24.00-$25.00/hour (potential for $26-$27/hour for exceptional candidates)
