Locations: Atlanta, GA | Detroit, MI | Charlotte, NC | Tampa, FL
Work Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Hybrid
Salary: 160,000-190,000

About the Role
 Selectek is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) who will serve as a technical lead and Engineer of Record (EOR) on complex projects across mission-critical and commercial sectors.
This individual will plan, coordinate, and oversee multiple projects, mentor junior staff, and work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and client stakeholders from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design efforts for large-scale and technically complex projects.
  • Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) for assigned projects.
  • Provide technical oversight for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and control systems.
  • Develop schematic designs, construction documents, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with internal design teams and external consultants.
  • Ensure all electrical designs comply with project requirements, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Conduct or oversee Arc Flash and Breaker Coordination Analyses.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers.
Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and ability to obtain multi-state licensure.
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial or industrial facilities.
  • Strong experience with low and medium voltage systems.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Proven ability to lead and execute projects independently.
Preferred:
  • Experience in mission critical, industrial, or data center projects.
  • Familiarity with Arc Flash and Breaker Coordination Analysis.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and innovation skills.
