Job Description

Selectek has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with a strong background with arc flash risk assessment and coordination studies. This role will act as a Lead Power Studies Engineer. The Engineer will need experience using SKM Power Tools to perform Short Circuit Studies, Coordination Studies, and Arc Flash Risk Assessments. The job is in the office and involves Medium Voltage Relays, Low Voltage Breakers, Coordination Studies, and Arc Flash Risk Assessments.

Required:
  • BSEE or BSEET Degree
  • 8+ years of experience using SKM Power tools for Coordination Studies and Arc Flash Risk Assessment
  • Strong communication skills and a history of working closely with clients to solve their problems

Preferred:
  • PE

Job order details:
The focus of the role for the Electrical Engineer will be to act as a Power Studies Engineer. This role will use SKM Power Tools to perform short circuit, coordination studies, and arch flash risk assessments for medium voltage relays, low voltage breakers, coordination studies and arc flash risk assessments.

The client needs someone with experience as a Power Studies Engineer. This is an Electrical Engineer who has spent at least eight years doing power system studies using SKM Power tools. It doesn’t have to been 100 percent of the candidate’s job, but it needs to be something they have done more than a couple times. These studies will be the main priority of this job.

Ideally looking for 8+ years with a PE but if you find someone without the PE who has the experience, they will be considered. No stamping - just want an engineer who has taken the time to do that and is on that career path.

There will be no design work.  This is all power studies work.

Sponsorship: No, need to be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
Pay range: $37/hour - $41/hour ($77,000 - $85,000 annual salary)
Term of assignment: 6 months contract to hire
Pay method when direct: Salary
Location of job: Atlanta 30339
Hours and shift: Monday - Thursday 9 hour days and Friday 4 hour day
Work from home:  No not an option - potentially a day or two once taken direct
Working remote: No
Overtime expected: Its possible but not on a regular basis
Travel: None to start but eventually the role may require some visits to clients, but it won’t be substantial.
Work attire: Business Casual
