Join Our Team as an Electrical Engineer in Richmond, VA!

Do you have a passion for electrical engineering and a knack for bringing machines to life?

We're looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to join a growing team in Richmond, VA with a company that designs and installs automated manufacturing equipment. This is a direct hire opportunity with a competitive salary ($100,000-$110,000) and excellent benefits package, including relocation assistance.

In this role, you will:
  • Design hardware and software for complex machine and control systems
  • Work collaboratively to create and maintain project documentation
  • Assist with assembly, testing, installation, and field service of our machines
  • Develop electrical schematics, control systems, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Design and program machine functions and operator interfaces
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide solutions
  • Support product managers during project scoping
  • And more!

To be successful, you'll need:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or a similar field) or an Associate's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical or electrical engineering
  • Strong understanding of electrical control systems and schematics
  • Proficient in PLC programming (Allen Bradley experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations (NFPA 70, NFPA 79, UL 508a)
  • Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and potentially Dynamics 365
  • Knowledge of industrial communications protocols
  • Ability to understand mechanical systems and apply electrical components
