Electrical Engineer, Industrial / Manufacturing
(Greater Phoenix, AZ)
We have an excellent career opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with Industrial Facilities Design experience for a growing and expanding engineering consulting company in the Phoenix area.
The Electrical Engineer Responsibilities Include:
* Overall, design, develop, and document electrical and power systems for industrial manufacturing facilities including utility, emergency, and UPS power distribution, as well as low voltage systems, telecom, life safety, security, etc.
* Perform and create designs, analysis, and documentation for transformer feeders, electrical clearances, circuit sizing, motor/drive circuit design, wiring separation, etc.
* Design and document electrical and electromechanical process drawings
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
* B.S. Degree, Electrical Engineering or similar technical or scientific degree
* PE License or ability to obtain license in a short time frame
* 5+ years of industrial facilities electrical systems design, analysis, development, documentation, and engineering experience
* Working knowledge and proficiency with common power analysis, simulation, and design software tools (prefer SKM or EasyPower)
* Working knowledge and proficiency with NEC requirements and common building, industry, and local electrical specifications and codes

John is originally from the Tidewater Virginia area and moved to Georgia for college where he majored in Electronics Engineering Technology. For fifteen years, he worked in television news broadcast engineering where he worked his way into technical project management until a layoff. After a few years operating a small business franchise, he found his way into an engineering and technical recruiting career where he could apply his technical and customer service backgrounds in a new industry for the next fifteen plus years to present day. His education and work experience as a technical project manager provides him unique insight into a variety of roles and success in finding great candidates for his clients. His career in technology, technical management, and technical staffing spans 25+ years.
