Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Drafter to support industrial engineering and construction projects by updating and maintaining existing design documentation. This role will be responsible for incorporating engineering redline markups into AutoCAD drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards. While the primary focus is electrical systems, the position may also involve updates to mechanical drawings and related documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power and lighting design drawings, extensive AutoCAD experience, and familiarity with site-based construction environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incorporate engineering and field redline markups into existing AutoCAD drawings.
  • Revise and update electrical drawings including:
    • Power distribution systems
    • Lighting layouts
    • One-line diagrams
    • Equipment layouts
    • Conduit and cable routing drawings
  • Maintain drawing accuracy, quality, and document control standards.
  • Coordinate with field personnel to clarify design changes and drawing revisions.
  • Support as-built documentation efforts based on construction and field modifications.
  • Assist with updates to mechanical drawings and related drafting deliverables as needed.
  • Ensure all drawing revisions are completed in accordance with project schedules and company standards.
  • Review drawings for completeness, consistency, and adherence to drafting best practices.
Required:
  • 5 plus years of electrical power and lighting drafting experience
  • AutoCAD Proficiency
  • Experience with industrial or manufacturing facilities highly preferred
