Electrical Designer

Job Description

Selectek is seeking an experienced Electrical Drafter/Designer with a strong background in power and lighting systems. This role is ideal for a skilled designer with hands-on experience—not just mark-up drafting—who can take ownership of the electrical design process for commercial, multifamily, and residential buildings.
Responsibilities:
  • Design 120v/240v and/or 120v/208v power and lighting systems from concept through final layout.
  • Perform power load analysis and create accurate one-line diagrams.
  • Use Revit and AutoCAD to produce detailed and professional electrical drawings.
  • Utilize photometric software (such as Visual) for lighting design.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical power and lighting design.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience designing power and lighting systems—not limited to redlining or mark-up drafting.
  • Solid understanding of load calculations, panel schedules, and one-line diagrams.
  • Familiarity with photometric analysis tools like Visual.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Experience:
  • Exposure to commercial, multifamily, and/or residential building projects.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with engineers and project managers.
Pay Rate: $26.44 - $33.65
Term: 6-month temp to perm
