Electrical Designer-Drafter, Industrial / Control Panel
(Waukesha, WI Area)
We have a great career growth opportunity for an Electrical Designer or Electrical Drafter for a growing engineering consulting company in North Metro Waukesha, WI.
The Electrical Designer-Drafter Responsibilities Include:
* Overall, perform and create industrial electrical and mechanical control panel, wiring, switchgear, and other systems designs, drawings, documentation, and Bill Of Materials
* Using AutoCAD Electrical, design automation systems control panels and associated mechanical systems, components, and assemblies
* Create and maintain documentation packages for each project including bill of materials, system layout, detailed drawings, termination drawings, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
* A.S. Degree/Diploma or Vocational-Technical School or Equivalent Experience
* Working knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD, prefer AutoCAD Electrical
* 1+ years of industrial electrical design, drawing, and documentation experience

John is originally from the Tidewater Virginia area and moved to Georgia for college where he majored in Electronics Engineering Technology. For fifteen years, he worked in television news broadcast engineering where he worked his way into technical project management until a layoff. After a few years operating a small business franchise, he found his way into an engineering and technical recruiting career where he could apply his technical and customer service backgrounds in a new industry for the next fifteen plus years to present day. His education and work experience as a technical project manager provides him unique insight into a variety of roles and success in finding great candidates for his clients. His career in technology, technical management, and technical staffing spans 25+ years.
When John found himself looking for a new opportunity, his search led to him joining the Selectek team in June 2021.
John lives in North Metro Atlanta where he spends his time with his wife and daughter. They enjoy kayaking on area lakes, hiking, bicycling, and all things pets and animals.
