About the Role Selectek is hiring an Electrical Designer to produce building power and lighting designs for commercial, healthcare, office, and retail projects. You’ll generate coordinated construction documents with minimal oversight and collaborate across MEP disciplines and with clients. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop building electrical designs: single-line diagrams, panel schedules, power distribution, and lighting layouts.
  • Produce coordinated construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Apply NEC and applicable codes/standards across deliverables.
  • Support photometric layouts, short-circuit/fault currents, coordination, and arc-flash inputs (as experience allows).
  • Interface with PMs, architects, and clients during programming, design reviews, and occasional site visits.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of electrical design experience for buildings.
  • Hands-on power distribution and lighting design.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Portfolio including commercial, healthcare, office, and retail projects.
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering a plus (not required).
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Government/Military/DoD facility experience.
  • Photometric design experience.
  • Ability to run fault current/short-circuit calcs, coordination, and arc-flash studies.

Type: Direct Hire (TTP considered)
Schedule: Core 8–5 with flex hours between 6 AM–7 PM
Work Setup: Onsite to start; potential 1–2 WFH days/week after ramp-up. Limited travel for client programming/site reports.
Compensation: $80,000–$120,000 DOE + overtime eligible
