Electrical Design Engineer | Smyrna, GA

We have an immediate opening for an Electrical Design Engineer in Smyrna, GA to support high-profile commercial and industrial power & lighting projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong Revit skills, eager to grow into a Project Engineer position.

Position Highlights:
  • Location: Smyrna, GA (On-site)
  • Pay Rate: $31.25 - $43.00 per hour
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, core hours 9 AM – 4 PM (Flexible start between 7-9 AM)
  • Term: 6-month contract-to-direct hire
  • Travel: Limited, occasional project visits
  • Overtime: As needed
Key Responsibilities:
  • Model electrical systems in 3D using Revit, focusing on power and lighting designs.
  • Perform short circuit and coordination studies in SKM Power Tools (training available).
  • Assist in developing electrical drawings following National Electrical Code standards.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using Excel macros and JavaScript.
  • Prepare reports and print large-scale drawings for project managers and field teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or BSEET).
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial or industrial projects.
  • Revit proficiency is a must; experience creating Revit families is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SKM Power Tools preferred but not required.
