Selectek is partnering with a company near Gadsden, Alabama to find an Electrical Engineer. This company specializes in the design/construction of materials-handling conveyor equipment, so candidates in this role will be focused on designing control panels and PLC programming for machinery.
Employment Type: Contract to Permanent
Expected Pay Range: $25-$48 per hour before direct hire conversion
Location: Gadsden, Alabama
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering (BSEE)
- Four years of experience in a relevant field
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical software is a must for this role
- Experience with PLC/HMI Programming software
- Ideal candidates have experience with design and integration of robotics or SCADA equipment as well
In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the client’s request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Details:
- Create electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical
- Design and develop electrical controls systems for in-house built material handling equipment
- Prepare scopes of work and maintain bills of material
- Program and commission PLC and HMI hardware and software controls for equipment
- Travel to customer facilities for installation and startup of equipment
- Troubleshoot and investigate equipment failures as needed
