Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical CAD Designer interested in performing work on oil and gas projects. This individual will provide support as an electrical drafter and designer. The ideal candidate will work under the direction of an Electrical engineer, developing electrical designs, and creating construction documents for Electrical projects using AutoCAD,  AutoCAD Electrical and Excel. The position request all candidates have a solid understanding of drafting techniques, discipline codes, and engineering terminology. The position will call for the designer to create innovative solutions and be knowledgeable of construction processes.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Develops complete Electrical drawing designs using AutoCAD amd AutoCAD Electrical to create single power diagrams, schematics, interconnect diagrams, panel layouts and bill of materials.
  2. Develops conduit and cable tray layouts, conduit and cable schedules, performs conduit and cable tray fill calculations, and generates cable and wire interconnection reports.
  3. Creates drawings for Electrical enclosures, equipment, instruments, and installations details.     
  4. Creates and revises P&ID’s and Hazardous Area Classification drawings.
  5. Plans, details, schedules work and final delivery of drawings
  6. Outlines, sets up, organizes, and maintains project drawings according to applicable standards.
  7. Willingness to perform site visits to create sketches, red lines, and gather information for as built.  
  8. Performs design coordination, drawings reviews, and create mark ups for drafters. 
Required:
  • 2 plus years of electrical design experience for industrial projects. Ideally experience   with electrical wiring, power distribution, and conduits. 
  • AutoCAD Proficiency
Preferred:
  • Associates in drafting
  • Oil and gas industry experience.
  • Autocad Electrical knowledge
6 month temp to perm opportunity
Location: Alpharetta, Ga
Pay Range-$26/hr-$30/hr
