Drafter – Security Systems Design
Location: Miramar, FL | Full-Time 

Our client, a leader in the security design industry, is seeking an experienced Drafter to join their growing team. In this role, you will work closely with project managers and designers to create precise AutoCAD drawings that directly support field teams in delivering top-quality security solutions. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and have experience drafting low-voltage security systems, this is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact.

What You’ll Do:

  • Translate project concepts and specifications into accurate drawings and documentation.

  • Develop shop drawings, submittal packages, permit set drawings, and other design deliverables.

  • Collaborate with project managers and design team members to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance.

  • Support multiple projects, helping the team stay on schedule and clear backlog.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years’ drafting experience with a focus on security systems (low voltage, CCTV, access control, etc.).

  • Strong AutoCAD proficiency (2D required; 3D a plus).

  • Working knowledge of design standards and building codes.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal handholding and manage priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ security system drafting experience.

  • Exposure to Riser diagrams, fire alarm design, or related low-voltage systems.

  • Experience with Revit (not required but considered a plus).
