Job Description

Our client in Sterling, VA is looking for a Detailing Manager to oversee staff and projects within the Detailing department and to ensure that work does not exceed established budgets or deadlines. The Detailing Manager must also make sure that projects transition into the fabrication departments smoothly with clear and concise information.

Required: 
  • Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise multiple team members.
  • Must have knowledge of wood fabrication techniques.
  • Experience with Museum Exhibit/ Electro-Mechanical Interactive interactives,
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and machining operations would be helpful “G Code”.
  • Must have knowledge of parts assembly and construction for woodworking, metal fabrication, laminating, painting, graphic production, audio-visual, and electrical installations.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD or similar software. (Solidworks, Revit, Fusion 360)
  • Ability to detail and to supervise Staff Drawings.
  • Must be detail-oriented and quality conscious.
  • Must ensure that Project Manager and Fabrication team are provided with any revised drawings in a timely manner. “Red Lines”

Term: direct hire
Pay: $90k - $110k (depending on experience)
