Job Description

We’re hiring a DCS Software Engineer to support a high-impact role at a major wastewater treatment plant in Baltimore, MD. This hybrid role combines on-site troubleshooting with remote ABB DCS 800xA programming and HMI development. Ideal for engineers with a strong control systems background who enjoy both project and service work.

What You’ll Do:
  • Program and troubleshoot ABB DCS 800xA systems
  • Develop HMI screens and implement process improvements
  • Provide on-site support as needed at the Patapsco WWTP
  • Collaborate with plant and engineering teams to optimize system performance
Requirements:
  • ABB DCS 800xA or equivalent DCS experience
  • Strong software development and troubleshooting skills
  • Willingness to travel locally for plant support
  • Optional: Water/wastewater or Allen Bradley PLC experience
Pay: $48–$55/hr (based on experience)
Location: Baltimore, MD (hybrid with on-site plant visits)
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8–5
Type: Contract, Temp-to-Hire, or Direct – your choice
