Location: Columbus, OH (43054)
Pay: $60.10–$69.71/hr | 6+ Month Contract-to-Perm | Onsite


Join a leading digital infrastructure team supporting high-availability, mission-critical data center environments. We’re seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in Power Distribution and Control Systems to drive design, engineering, deployment, and optimization of complex systems in retrofit and modernization projects. This role is hands-on, highly technical, and ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced data center operations.


What You’ll Do:

  • Design and engineer power distribution and control systems for retrofit and new infrastructure projects

  • Develop sequences of operation and integration requirements for HVAC, electrical, and BMS/BAS platforms

  • Oversee onsite installation, testing, and commissioning of control and power systems

  • Troubleshoot system faults, alarms, and performance issues across BAS, HVAC, electrical, and networked systems

  • Integrate power distribution equipment with fire alarm, security, monitoring, and other facility systems

  • Maintain documentation (schematics, diagrams, O&M manuals) and train internal teams

  • Support onsite construction activities and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Travel between AWS data center facilities as needed

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering

  • 3–7 years in medium/low-voltage power distribution or controls engineering

  • Experience in mission-critical environments (data centers preferred)

  • Strong proficiency with BAS/BMS platforms (Schneider, Niagara, Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls)

  • Solid understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, control theory, and networking protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks)

  • Familiarity with commissioning (Cx, TAB) and system integration

  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Role Details:

  • Status: 6+ month contract-to-perm

  • Schedule: M–F, onsite

  • Environment: Data center retrofit projects for a major hyperscale client

  • Travel: Some travel between AWS facilities

  • Clearances: Must pass background check (10 years) + 10-panel drug screen

  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required
