Join an innovative team at the forefront of industrial automation as a Controls Engineer! We are seeking an experienced professional to spearhead dynamic systems integration projects. As a Controls Engineer, you'll be instrumental in understanding customer requirements, crafting cutting-edge control system architectures, and designing and programming HMIs and PLCs. Your role extends to testing and accepting automation programs, conducting on-site start-ups, delivering customer training, and contributing to meticulous documentation. Collaboration with co-workers, customers, and vendors will be key to your success.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience as a controls engineer/automation specialist
- Ready for 20-40% travel
- Proficient in Rockwell, Allen Bradley RS Logix, Modicon, Ignition, Redlion, FactoryTalk Historian
- Nice-to-have experience with Wonderware, Iconics, Siemens, GE, Scada Pack
- Database development skills using PI, SQL, etc.
- Background in Oil & Gas or Water/Wastewater industries
Responsibilities:
- Dive into diagrams and documentation, engaging customers to understand objectives and preferences.
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs), IO lists, and requirements for innovative control panels.
- Bring PLC programs to life in Ladder, Function Block, and other languages.
- Design intuitive human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
- Develop hardware and software test plans, injecting excitement with simulation logic for testing PLC and HMI systems.
- Test the installed system, ensuring it performs like a rockstar and aligns with design specifications.
- Troubleshoot startup issues, overcoming challenges with incorrect drawings, changes in customer desires, or technical puzzles.
- Be the maestro in training customers on the use and operation of our cutting-edge system integration software.
- Jam with manufacturers and vendors, addressing challenges and turning them into opportunities for innovation.
- Collaborate with an ensemble of team members to tackle design problems.
- Respond to service calls, unleashing your troubleshooting prowess to diagnose and repair programming and system failures.
Pay Range:
- $85,000 - $125,000 per year
Shift and Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
