Job Description


We are currently working with a client to find a Controls Engineer to evaluate and develop control systems for new and existing equipment and design and develop custom inspection systems.

$31.25/hr. - $48.08/hr. ($65k/yr. - $100k/yr. DOE)
6 Month Temp to Perm
Kenosha, WI


Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop machine control systems. Interface with other Engineers and Machine Builders as related to the position description.
  • Create all drawings as related to a given machine’s electrical control system, including schematics, panel and cabinet layout, fabrication, and assembly drawings.
  • Develop machine process control logic.
  • Select machine electrical components, including sensors, processor (PLC, PC), enclosures, pushbuttons, motors, etc.
  • Wire and trouble-shoot all machine electrical components.
  • Perform and document all machine programming.
  • Interface with other departments to create or modify control systems, process logic, and trouble-shoot problems.
  • Coordinate communications with and services provided by outside vendors, including component selection, training, build services, etc.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of engineering standards, files, records, drawings, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required:
  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Higher
  • A minimum of 3 years focused experience designing control systems for custom automation equipment including hands on equipment installation and start-up experience.
  • Experienced user of AutoCAD or Solid Works, MS Office, Excel, Word, Project.
  • Proficient at PLC Programming and HMI Design.
  • Must be capable of sound decision making
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and be a team player.

Preferred:
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Automotive product experience.
  • QS9000 system experience.
  • Machining/hand tool experience.
