Controls Engineer – Greenville, SC 

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team in Greenville, SC. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in manufacturing and automation who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will bring expertise in PLC programming, electrical design, continuous improvement, and product innovation, while also supporting both existing and new product development initiatives.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop, program, and maintain PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Pro-Logic, Compact Logic, Productivity).

  • Design and write logic for HMI displays for machines and remote interfaces.

  • Utilize FactoryTalk software for industrial monitors and SCADA systems.

  • Lead electrical design projects using AutoCAD.

  • Support manufacturing teams with equipment set-up, inspection, and troubleshooting.

  • Provide technical customer service, including problem-solving and answering inquiries.

  • Prepare cost estimates, electrical BOMs, and quality/inspection documentation.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement, cost reduction, and sustaining engineering initiatives.

  • Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to implement new processes and products.
Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility, with proven ability to work in a team environment and build strong customer relationships.

  • Strong engineering and technical background in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Pro-Logic, Compact Logic, Productivity).

  • Hands-on experience with ladder logic, sequential function charts, function block diagrams, and structured text.

  • HMI and SCADA programming experience.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.

  • Trade school certification or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).

  • Experience in manufacturing or R&D is a plus.
