Job Description:
As a Controls Engineer at Selectek, you will play a pivotal role in the design, programming, and commissioning of state-of-the-art control systems. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, travel to exciting locations within North America, and collaborate with a close-knit team of experts.
Key Responsibilities:
- PLC Programming: Utilize your expertise to program PLCs using Allen Bradley and Omron platforms, ensuring flawless control system operation.
- HMI Design: Craft intuitive Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) with FactoryTalk and other tools to provide seamless user experiences.
- SCADA Mastery: Demonstrate proficiency in SCADA programming, particularly with FactoryTalk View SE, to monitor and control industrial processes effectively.
- VFD Wizardry: Show off your skills in Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and motor control programming, specializing in Allen Bradley systems.
- SQL Reporting: Leverage your knowledge of SQL to generate informative and actionable reports.
- Start-Up and Commissioning: Take charge of system start-ups and commissioning processes, ensuring they meet and exceed client expectations.
- Troubleshooting: Employ your troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues swiftly and efficiently.
- Panel Design and Build: Occasionally contribute to the panel design and build process using AutoCAD, adding versatility to your role.
- Travel Enthusiast: Embrace the opportunity to travel up to 25% of the time, including potential trips to Canada, to work on exciting projects across North America.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree: Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering to demonstrate your strong educational foundation.
PLC Experience: Possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on PLC programming experience, with a focus on Allen Bradley.
HMI and SCADA Proficiency: Showcase your expertise in HMI and SCADA programming, particularly with Allen Bradley FactoryTalk.
VFD Expertise: Prove your mastery in VFD and motor control programming, specializing in Allen Bradley systems.
SQL Reporting Skills: Exhibit proficiency in generating reports using SQL.
Start-Up and Commissioning: Highlight your experience in successfully executing start-up and commissioning processes.
Troubleshooting Abilities: Demonstrate your aptitude for troubleshooting complex control systems.
Panel Design Knowledge: Familiarity with AutoCAD and the ability to contribute to panel design and build is a plus.
Travel Flexibility: Be prepared for up to 25% travel, including potential international trips to Canada.
Pay Rate:
- Competitive compensation ranging from $70,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Work Schedule:
- Enjoy a Monday to Friday workweek, with typical hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
