Controls Engineer
*** Remote / Work-From-Home ***
(New York / New Jersey / Pennsylvania / Delaware region)
A small, stable, and growing turnkey automation solutions company has a great career opportunity for a Controls Engineer for the New York-New Jersey region.
The Controls Engineer Responsibilities Include:
* Overall, responsible for design, engineering, programming, and supporting industrial automation systems
* Design, program, and retrofit control and automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, control panels, SCADA systems, compressor controls, blow molding systems, filling systems, motor controls, machine controls, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
* A.S. Degree/Diploma or Vocational-Technical School or Equivalent Experience
* Working knowledge and proficiency with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE, and other common PLC, HMI, and SCADA control systems, hardware, software, and programming
* 2+ years of industrial / manufacturing control systems, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and Control Panel design, programming, and support experience
* Ability to travel up to 10% in the NY, NJ, PA, DE area

John is originally from the Tidewater Virginia area and moved to Georgia for college where he majored in Electronics Engineering Technology. For fifteen years, he worked in television news broadcast engineering where he worked his way into technical project management until a layoff. After a few years operating a small business franchise, he found his way into an engineering and technical recruiting career where he could apply his technical and customer service backgrounds in a new industry for the next fifteen plus years to present day.
