  • Location: Madison, WI or Waukesha, WI (Hybrid work model available)
  • Compensation: ~ $65k--$100k/yr [Negotiable, DOE]

Seeking a Construction Administrator to serve as the primary contact during the construction phase of a variety of exciting projects. In this role, you will facilitate communication and coordination between all project stakeholders (e.g., OAC | Owner-Architect-Contractor), ensuring timely and effective management throughout the process. As part of a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in construction administration while paving the way for future leadership roles within the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead construction administration for a range of small to large projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including design staff, owners, and contractors.
  • Oversee contractor submittals and coordinate with stakeholders to process them in a timely manner.
  • Respond promptly to contractor requests for information and facilitate construction progress meetings.
  • Conduct site observations, document findings, and issue detailed field reports.
  • Review and verify accuracy of contractors' pay requests.
  • Manage project closeout procedures and ensure all documentation and deliverables are complete.
  • Mentor and train staff on construction administration procedures and standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in construction administration, contract administration, or construction project management.
  • Understanding of construction processes, AIA documentation, safety regulations, and codes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management software.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel or work remotely, including occasional overnight travel to construction sites.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Professional degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Architectural license is a plus but not required.
