Civil Traffic Designer - Remote Work-From-Home

A strong, stable, and growing transportation engineering consulting company has a great career opportunity for a Civil Traffic Designer working remotely anywhere in the U.S.
The Civil Traffic Designer Responsibilities Include:

A strong, stable, and growing transportation engineering consulting company has a great career opportunity for a Civil Traffic Designer working remotely anywhere in the U.S.
The Civil Traffic Designer Responsibilities Include:
- Overall, create and perform design, drawing, revisions, and documentation for DOT civil, traffic, transportation projects
- Collaborate and coordinate with engineering team to produce documents within specifications and requirements
- Create, revise, and maintain traffic design plans, drawings, and documentation
- Work with little or no supervision to design, draft, and revise Florida DOT (FDOT) transportation and traffic plans
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- A.S. Degree/Diploma or Vocational-Technical School or Equivalent Experience
- Working knowledge and proficiency with OpenRoads Designer, InRoads, GEOPAK, or MX
- 2+ years of civil, traffic, transportation project design, drawing, and documentation experience
- Preferred to have some background with Florida DOT (FDOT) project design and documentation
- Able to be available for work during normal office hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time

John is originally from the Tidewater Virginia area and moved to Georgia for college where he majored in Electronics Engineering Technology. For fifteen years, he worked in television news broadcast engineering where he worked his way into technical project management until a layoff. After a few years operating a small business franchise, he found his way into an engineering and technical recruiting career where he could apply his technical and customer service backgrounds in a new industry for the next fifteen plus years to present day. His education and work experience as a technical project manager provides him unique insight into a variety of roles and success in finding great candidates for his clients. His career in technology, technical management, and technical staffing spans 25+ years.
When John found himself looking for a new opportunity, his search led to him joining the Selectek team in June 2021.
John lives in North Metro Atlanta where he spends his time with his wife and daughter. They enjoy kayaking on area lakes, hiking, bicycling, and all things pets and animals.
