Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT certification
  • 2-4 years of experience in civil site, roadway, and/or municipal design
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, Open Roads, or Civil 3D
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in site development, roadway, and municipal/infrastructure projects

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with clients to define project requirements, establish design criteria, and communicate priorities to the project team.
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to produce construction documents.
  • Conduct detailed reviews on multiple projects at various stages of design.
  • Coordinate design efforts with public and private stakeholders.
  • Provide Construction Administration services, including reviewing submittals/shop drawings, processing change orders, and addressing field inquiries.

Project Focus:
  • Public sector infrastructure, including city streets, sanitary sewers, water mains, highways, grading, and storm sewer projects.
  • Involvement in industrial land development projects (e.g., factory sites, plants) and roadway planning, excluding residential work.
  • Municipal clients such as the City of Omaha and surrounding areas, focusing on critical public works and city infrastructure.

  • Currently working with a consulting firm and looking for expanded responsibilities in project development, scope definition, and client relations.
  • Seeking an opportunity outside large firms, aiming for impactful public sector work.

Location: Council Bluffs, IA, and Omaha, NE

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, with a generous bonus program
Shift and Hours: Monday- Friday 8 AM- 5PM
