Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Design and manage land development and infrastructure projects, including roads, parking areas, storm drainage systems, stormwater management facilities, utilities (water mains, sanitary sewers), sediment and erosion control, and outline specifications.
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure compliance with contracts, schedules, and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and local review agencies.
  • Prepare and review construction documents and project specifications.
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis.
  • Attend construction meetings and produce site observation reports.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and scope of work.
  • Provide value engineering and technical guidance to project teams.
  • Participate in business development and organizational activities beneficial to the company.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (open to engineers at all levels).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (unless holding a PE license).
  • Experience in designing single-family subdivisions, apartments, and commercial developments.
  • EIT or PE license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Daily Duties:
  • Assist in business development and participate in relevant organizations.
  • Understand and prepare contractual agreements.
  • Analyze topographical and geological data to plan and design projects.
  • Develop schematic design information and coordinate with project teams.
  • Prepare, assign, schedule, and monitor project budgets and scopes.
  • Produce and review engineering drawings and sketches.
  • Act as liaison with reviewing agencies and maintain client contact throughout and after project completion.
  • Use computer programs and spreadsheets for engineering analysis and presentations.
  • Respond to questions and provide daily guidance to the project team.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of plans and drawings.
  • Develop technical competence within project teams.
  • Assist in the collection of past due accounts receivable.

Compensation:
  • Salary range: Mid $90,000s to $100,000 base.
  • Bonus potential: $120,000 - $130,000 annually.
