We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer with a passion for utilizing strong technical skills to solve site development civil challenges for clients. The position will also be involved with continuous improvement efforts in setting up design processes, QAQC checklists and strong production drawing and modeling templates (AutoCAD Civil 3D). The work is varied across local, regional and national. The work is also diverse in nature serving Federal Government, Local, Municipal, Retail, Commercial, Healthcare and Industrial clients. This role will provide an individual with the opportunity to lead large multi-million-dollar, multi-disciplinary projects as the Civil Discipline Lead.

Typical Duties Include
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D software to create and modify site plans, grading and drainage layouts, utility layouts, and construction documents.
  • Work with Civil Engineer to conduct site analysis, and integrate topographical surveys and geotechnical data, to inform design decisions.
  • Ensure designs comply with local, state and federal regulations and codes.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects and other team members to develop project specifications and budgets.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs, present design options, and address any concerns.
  • Perform quality checks and reviews of own work to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Create and maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, calculations, and reports.
  • Provide support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings.
  • Stay updated on library trends and advancements in AutoCAD Civil 3D software and site civil design practices.
Required:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Successful completion of the FE Exam
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency. Ideally with the ability to create complex site designs and construction documents.
  • Strong understanding of site development principles, grading, drainage, paving, site constructability, and utility design.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, DOT, MUTCD, ADAVABA compliance, and permitting processes is a plus.
