Job Description
Our client in Birmingham, AL is looking for a Civil Engineer responsible for the origination and review of civil design work, which includes, but is not limited to design criteria, engineering studies and calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Required:
Term: 6 month contract to direct hire
Payrate: $30 - $40 per hour (depending on experience)

Required:
- BS or MS in Civil Engineering preferred, experience acceptable in lieu of degree
- 3+ years’ experience in a position with emphasis on residential developments with working knowledge of multi-family developments, small to medium commercial sites, and institutional campus improvements
- AutoCAD is a required
- Civil 3D would be preferred
- Experience in the analysis, design, and construction management of land development
- Experience from the concept to construction completion of a project
- Layout, grading, storm drainage network design, utility design, erosion control, road networks, specifications, permit submittal and review, field inspections and investigations
- Independent usage of resources in the application of code requirements and preparation of technical reports
- Experience in the understanding of industry and regulatory practices and trends.
