Civil Drafter/Designer
Location: Jacksonville, FL

We are seeking a Civil Drafter/Designer to join a collaborative civil and structural consulting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a smaller, hands-on environment where adaptability and teamwork are key. You’ll support civil engineering projects across residential, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use developments, with opportunities to contribute throughout the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed 2D CAD drawings (plans, profiles, sections, details) for contract documents following internal drafting standards.

  • Create 3D CAD models and renderings to display complex features or structures.

  • Maintain drawing files, CAD standards, and digital documentation in line with office procedures.

  • Prepare graphics for engineering reports, presentations, and professional documentation.

  • Assist with project tasks, including layout, grading, drainage, utility design, erosion control, road networks, specifications, and permitting.

  • Conduct field inspections and investigations as needed.

  • Provide guidance to technical staff on drafting standards and procedures.

  • Support administrative office tasks when required.
Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree preferred (experience may substitute).

  • 2+ years of drafting/design experience with emphasis on residential developments; exposure to multi-family, small/medium commercial sites, and institutional campus improvements is a plus.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required.

  • Hands-on experience in land development, from concept through construction completion.

  • Knowledge of layout, grading, storm drainage design, utilities, erosion control, and permitting processes.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work collaboratively in a small-team environment.
