Job Description


Our client is currently seeking a Civil Designer.  

Job Duties:
  • Work independently to apply design principles for Land Development.
  • Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of Land Development Projects.
  • Modifying existing projects based on project scope.
  • Knowledgeable of various civil design requirements – roadways, waterline, lift stations, general land development requirements for permitting.
  • Participate in project review meetings with project team.
  • Participate in office and site safety training and inductions as needed to support office and site activities.
  • Perform field verification and provide field support during construction.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project work sites (including remote sites) as needs and opportunities arise.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D
  • CAD or Civil related degree (Technical Certification, AS or BS will be considered)
  • Land Development project experience
  • Design, drafting and modelling skills in 2D and 3D environments
  • Working knowledge of civil design components and materials
  • Ability to take instruction and work independently
  • Knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and codes as required for civil design
Preferred:
  • Understanding or experience with layout development, county codes, SFWMD, and FDEP regulations
  • Good understanding of design principles related to civil design. Water, Sewer, Storm, Roadways, Other Site Design Elements, and General arrangements
  • Working knowledge of GIS a plus
  • Working knowledge of Drainage software a plus
Pay Range:
  • $30 – 43/hr, depending on experience
