Job Description

Selectek is seeking qualified candidates for a Civil Designer role. Our partnering company needs Civil Designers, both entry-level and experienced, to assist their existing team of engineers. Our client is scheduling interviews for temp-to-perm professionals with the aim of starting candidates in the next few weeks.

Pay Rate Range: $25-30 per hour
Location: Indianapolis, IN 
This company also has several other Indiana locations seeking designers and drafters - contractors are welcome to work at the location closest to them!

Job Requirements:
- Experience with Civil 3D or Microstation design programs
- Knowledge of roadway layout and design. Experience with other types of civil design projects such as land development, site design, grading, drainage, utilities or storm water management will also be considered
- Proficiency with grading calculation
- Familiarity with DOT and/or local agency roadway projects is a plus
No specific certifications are required, but candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Responsibilities included:
- Developing plans and diagrams for roadway layout/design
- Generating base maps from field data and property boundaries
- Providing take-off estimates
- Working within budget and schedule
- Calculations for grading/land leveling as well as property
- Coordination with team members
- Research and locate pertinent records and documents for various projects
- Maintain a database for project documents and drawing files
- Adherence to company CADD standards
