Job Description

Selectek is seeking a Civil Designer to assist with highway designs, perform grading calculations, update plans, and prepare takeoffs.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide roadway layout including prepared alignments; prepare plans and diagrams
  • Provide quantity take-off estimates
  • Can work with a given of budget and schedule
  • Grading calculations
  • Prepare various plats, plans, exhibits or other CADD-based documents as needed
  • Coordinate findings with project team members
  • Utilize data collected from field crew to create base maps for engineering and design to calculate
  • property boundaries
  • Research records via the Internet and at local municipalities for documents pertinent to current projects
  • Work within given budget and schedule
  • Maintain project point database and drawing files
  • Adherence to company CADD standards
  • Occasional site visits to check base mapping

Required:
  • Civil 3D or Microstation experience
  • Experience with roadway layout and design
  • Experience with grading calculations

Pay range: $25 - $30/hr
Location: Lafayette, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Evansville, Bloomington, La Porte, IN; Cincinnati or Columbus, OH
