Job Description

Selectek has an immediate need for a Civil Design Engineer in the Charlotte, NC area. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and estimated to go direct within 6 months. 

Job description:
  • Design of commercial land development projects
  • Perform all aspects of site design including site layout, number crunching, calculations for grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management and erosion and sedimentation control projects
  • Work with clients and team members on all aspects of a project – schematic design through construction administration
Required:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering 
  • Passed FE exam
  • 5+ years of experience in all aspects of site design including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management and erosion and sedimentation control
  • Familiarity with current codes, design guidelines, and stormwater management practices
Preferred:
  • PE or EIT
  • Civil 3D Experience
  • Experience in the design build industry
Sponsorship: No
Pay range: $30/hour - $48/hour depending on experience, education, and PE ($63,000 - $100,000 annual salary)
Term of assignment: 6 months temp to perm
Location of job: Charlotte, NC (preferred) OR Greensboro, NC
Work from home/remote: No (not to start, maybe down the line)
Overtime expected: Yes (5-10) hours per week
Travel: possible, light local travel to a site but not often
Work attire: Business Casual
