Location: Indianapolis, IN 46254 
Salary Range (Direct Hire): ~ +/- $34.62--$43.27/hour | $72,000--$90,000 annually (Negotiable, DOE)
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, ~ 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer to support our Indianapolis office on various infrastructure projects. This is a design-focused role with opportunities to lead calculations, prepare reports, and collaborate on transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise with INDOT projects and experience using MicroStation and Bentley Open Roads Designer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead transportation design calculations, reports, plan preparation, and roadway modeling.
  • Assist office leadership in preparing proposal documents and conducting preliminary project evaluations.
  • Develop a professional network with staff from other firms and public agencies to enhance project coordination efforts.
  • Coordinate project tasks, report to the project manager, and assist in budget, schedule, and project status tracking.
  • Provide technical support on INDOT, county, and municipal transportation design projects.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • ~ 5+ years of experience designing transportation projects.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and Bentley Open Roads Designer.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Indiana (+)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project management experience and a history of leading project teams.
  • Experience working on INDOT, county, and municipal projects.
  • Knowledge of Adobe software is a plus.
