Job Description


We are currently hiring for a CAD Technician / Drafter in the Madison, WI area. This is a full-time position with a well-established engineering firm that has strong industry experience & knowledge.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Applies sound drafting principals and standards in the creation of drawings and related documents for utility substation or transmission line designs using Autocad and/or Microstation
  • Make revisions to existing drawings using Autocad and/or Microstation
  • Assures all project deliverables meet the technical requirements of the project
  • Assists in the performance of quality review of all project documents
  • Work with Supervising Engineers, Design Supervisor, and Project Managers to make sure projects are completed on schedule and within project budget
  • Perform Project Close-Out and As-Built revisions
  • Assures all project documents are properly entered into and managed by the document management system

Required:
  • Associate's Degree in CAD, Electrical Engineering Technology, or similar or related field. 
  • Sound knowledge of AutoCAD  
  • Ability to interact successfully with all levels of staff, clients and vendors.  Able to work in a collaborative process.
  • Attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
  • Dedication to completing a project on schedule is essential.  Efficient use of time is critical.  Willingness to work to meet deadlines as required by client demands

Pay: $20.00-$29.00 per hour based on overall experience

Schedule: Flexible Hours & a 1/2 day on Fridays
